I'm giving a big talk to the public today. On the bill with me are an Ear, Nose and Throat physician that specializes in middle ear surgeries and did some really groundbreaking research very early in his career. The other speaker is a Neuro-otologist that specializes in cochlear implantation and well, her curriculum vitae is 17 pages long. And there is not one shred of fluff to it.

yeah, and then there's me. speaking last. i'll be talking about non-medical treatment alternatives, the latest digital and assistive hearing technology, and aural rehabilitation. at least that 's what it said on the flyer that went out to 5000 people.

so, um, what did i do? i put off writing the speech until late last night. (just had to try and make my gluten free bagels first, you know). and i put off polishing it (and timing it, yikes) till right now.

5:30 am

leave for work in 2 1/2 hours.

toast.

complete toast.

(and no, the bagels sucked, as do all my gluten free baking endeavors)
