I just talked to one of my classmates. He is going through the same kind of revision work with his paper. We've both been getting short emails from our committee chairs saying things like "read the last draft...keep working" or "received your fax...keep plugging away". He got some sage wisdom and motivation from his chair today:
"the last draft looks good...keep humping on it."
I've obviously been going about this process the wrong way...
