Finally thinking about formally budgeting out the wedding. I've read all about the inherent evil that is the wedding industry, but this is the first time I've felt it hit me in the head. I went to The Knot and used their budget planner. Entering our modest but certainly not stingy budget into their calculator, they essentially said we will be having it at the VFW and we should start scouting out promising high school students for musicians and photographers and cake makers and gee with that amount you shouldn't really count on flowers in fact we'll be surprised if this union is recongized as legal in most states.
My dad and I were talking about the only other "industry" that uses guilt more shamefully for the sale is the funeral industry. "You'll only do this once."
