Okay, so when you are testing the hearing of a blind person, DO NOT lightheartedly (but cluelessly) joke that he was cheating on the speech testing by reading your lips.
Also, when you realize he's too hearing impaired to have heard your slip up, do not make such an obvious gesture of relief because his wife is still in the room and is not blind or hard of hearing.
