Just re-read the 10/23/02 post about my snafu with the blind guy. It made me remember one of the best This American Life stories ever. It investigates the phenomenon of the "cringe". You don't HAVE to listen to the whole thing, but please please please listen to the first bit about the guy in the office and the case of mistaken identity...I don't want to ruin it but it does involve a midget.
